Three Things You Should Know Before Buying a Business Franchise

Business franchise refers to the arrangement entered upon by the owner of a certain business with another party who is interested in running same business under its name. In the agreement, the real business owner allows the use of his registered trademark in exchange for some payment.

Business franchising is a strategy a lot of first-time businessmen take because there is lesser risk surrounding the setup. And more often than not, the franchise package includes everything you'll need in launching the business. The business owner provides for raw materials, supplies, equipments, and all promotional materials. And because the business already exists, it becomes easier for the franchisee to build up its customer base.

However, there are some things you should consider before you invest your hard-earned cash on business franchises:

1. A percentage of your profit is paid to the franchisor.

You will be forever under the franchisee agreement for as long as you are using the name of their business. Part of the agreement is to pay the business owner royalties and other related fees. There's no way to go around it.

2. You are allowed to seek support from the franchise owners.

Most business owners are more than willing to provide trainings to their franchisees to minimize errors while operating the business. It is your right as a franchisee to request for meetings with the bosses so they can help you out in certain things you are not very familiar with.

3. The business owner may restrict your choice of territory, suppliers, and employment policy.

Business owners want to have full control of each franchisee's operation and quality of products. Therefore, franchise owners don't really have much freedom when it comes to where they can get raw materials, equipments, and supplies for their business. This also means that it can be a little hard to reduce overhead costs.

These are the things that you should consider before you plunge into the franchise market. Try to determine if business franchising is for you. If ever it is, make sure you go with the company that's tried and tested over the years.

Looking for a Great Deal on Toner? Tips for Buying Toner Online

Today, virtually every kind of printer - from photo printers to laser printers to inkjet printers - are incredibly inexpensive. Unfortunately, the toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges that replace the starter cartridges the come with the printer are anything but. If you're in the market for an inkjet printer cartridge or a LaserJet toner cartridge, there are great deals to be had online. However, there are several things you should know before buying toner online.

Understand Your Options

When it comes to laser toner cartridges or inkjet printer cartridges, you have three options: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) cartridges, compatible cartridges, and re-manufactured cartridges. What are the differences? Original Equipment Manufacturer cartridges are those that you find at office supply stores. They are packaged and sold with the printer manufacturer's name on them. Compatible cartridges don't have the branding from the printer manufacturers, but they meet or exceed the manufacturers' specifications for the ink or toner. Re-manufactured cartridges are, essentially, Original Equipment Manufacturer cartridges that have been used, refilled, and cleaned and quality checked.

Although the initial reaction of most people is to buy Original Equipment Manufacturer cartridges, you can save a tremendous amount of money - without sacrificing quality - when you buy compatible cartridges or re-manufactured cartridges.

Know What You Need

As with most types of devices these days, different models of printers have relatively unique cartridge designs. Unfortunately, the lack of standardization means that you have to know the make and model of your printer when you want to buy toner cartridges or ink cartridges. When ordering toner or ink cartridges online, it's important to have this information handy. You don't want to go through the hassle of ordering the wrong cartridge and having to return it for a replacement.

Order From a Reputable Source

With so many ecommerce sites on the Internet, it's sometimes difficult to ascertain which sources for toner and ink cartridges offer exceptional products and service. If you're planning to buy a compatible or re-manufactured inkjet printer cartridge or LaserJet toner cartridge, it's crucial that the company produces or sells high-quality products. An inferior product could, at best, produce poor quality prints, and at worst, damage your printer.

One of the best ways to select a source for toner and ink cartridges is to look for a company that has a high BizRate ranking. A company that gives their customers the opportunity to rate satisfaction through providing feedback to BizRate is clearly committed to customer service. If that same company is BizRate customer certified and receives BizRate's platinum award for customer service, so much the better. Another indicator that a company is reputable is participation in the BBBOnline Reliability Program.

When you understand the differences between the types of toner and inkjet cartridges available, know what you need, and find a reputable company, you'll be all set to save money by ordering toner online.

These million-dollar-a-year fat cats, know squat about their customers!

I'll tell it to you straight:

These million-dollar-a-year fat cats, know squat about their customers!

So they pay 'normal' people like me to tell them the word on the street.

Dear Friend,

If you would like to know how you to can take advantage of this. and make $3500+. per month, this is going to be the most important website you will ever stumble upon.

Here is why:

Fortune 500 Companies Need Me.

A 34 Year Old Work From Home

Mother Of Two

And as if that isn't enough:

They Also Need You!

Each day I help these companies to make millions. I'm not a marketing whiz or an ex sales executive. Actually to be honest I know absolutely nothing about business.

But what I do know about is what I like. The products I buy. And guess what: That's the exact info large companies are willing to pay a premium for.

If they don't know what their average customers needs and wants, they won't have a business come the next season.

So how do they remedy this? Quite simply they pay millions of dollars each month, to normal average people. In return these normal average people just jot down their opinions, and answer questions.

Questions like: How many times per month do you shop for groceries?

I personally do this online. I know people who have the surveys mailed to them. But I myself can logon to the internet, sign in to my account and complete a survey within 5 minutes.

In that time I usually earn $20 - $45. Not bad. With a few of these a day:

I Manage To Earn Around $3000 - $4000 Every Month

I quit from my old job at the postal office. Telling my boss to "Shove It" was the best feeling I've ever had.

Since then my life has changed dramatically. I love it.

In the morning I wake up my son Alex and daughter Jenny. Then as they get ready for school, I head downstairs, and turn on my laptop. Quickly I log into my account and complete a quick survey.

That usually takes no longer than 15 minutes. After that I refresh my account, and love to see $25 - $35 added to my account balance.

Then I'll make sure my kids have a good breakfast, before dropping them off at the local school. A usually stop for a chat with the other moms, before I stroll home again.

I then watch some day time TV while:

Taking a simple, easy online survey - $5 to $75 per survey!

Participating in an online focus group - $50 to $150 per hour!

Trying out new products, everything from shoes to stereos - Keeping the products and getting paid!

Previewing Movie Trailers Online - Then answer a yes/no questionaire (did I like it) for $12 to $35

To do any of these I:

Login and see what's available

Find something which pays a good amount, i.e above $20

Select one I like the look of, and click "add to list"

Complete this survey, or preview the trailer etc then make sure the amount is added to my account balance.

Dear Online Marketer,

Have you ever wished that.....

"Visitors Are Actually Excited To See Your Ads!"

NEW Version 2 Just Released!

Consumers are exposed to hundreds maybe even thousands of commercial messages per day in one form or another -- from the boring, copy-laden radio commercial to the easily skimmed, forgettable newspaper ad, to the billboard on the side of the bus to the logo on the side of the building and finally to those annoying Pop-Ups you see on every other website!

Research from the University of Washington conducted in 1999 stats: “The average American is exposed to 500 to 1,000 commercial messages a day . That's anywhere from 182,500 to 365,000 commercial messages that a person will view this year alone.” And that was way back in 1999!!! Imagine what it probably is today! It's no wonder that people have become "Banner Blind" and constantly block or exit from Pop-ups with their itchy trigger finger.

Isn't there something else? Something that is less intrusive yet more effective. A type of advertisement that makes my customers WANT to see it, instead of Repelling them from your site?

YES! Finally There Is! It's a New Breed of Ads that's not only pleasing to the eye, but also incredibly effective in drawing in your customer's attention, causing them to click, and most importantly getting more of them to reach for their wallets because they're actually interacting with your ads now instead of running from them.

Car Leasing

Car leasing may be a good option for those individuals or companies that want to have a new car but want to save some of the money it costs in full car ownership. Car leasing is a way to rent a car over a specified period of time. The car is not owned by the person or company leasing it at any point and at the end of the lease, the car is returned to the dealership or the car leasing company.

There is a deposit associated with car leasing. This initial deposit is non-refundable and is simply a way for the leasing company to protect themselves. After the initial deposit, the person or company leasing the car will pay a monthly amount that has been agreed upon by both the individual and the car leasing company. The term of the lease is usually approximately two or three years however, it is possible to lease a car for a year or even less.

Leasing a car is not the same as taking out a car loan. The largest payment that is required is the initial deposit and that is usually only about one, two or three months total of the monthly lease payments. This allows the person or company leasing to keep their money in a high interest bank account and to simply make the lease payments as part of their monthly living expenses. This can be especially useful to companies that want to lease a company vehicle. They can then take the payments out of operational expenses rather than out of capital expenses.

Because the lease will usually be less than three years, the car will always be covered under warranty and it will not require an MOT. This means that the person or company leasing the car will not need to worry about major repairs. The only things the person leasing the car needs to worry about are routine services such as oil changes and consumable items such as tires. These items are not usually a great expense during the first three years.

Another benefit to car leasing is that a person or company may change their cars every few years. This is beneficial for many reasons. The first reason being that the individual or company will not need to worry about their car breaking down all the time as it gets older and becoming more of a burden rather than an asset. Another benefit to leasing is that the individual or company will get a new car every two or three years.

Changing cars every few years is made so simple by car leasing. It is not necessary to try and sell the car before another car is obtained. Instead, one car is simply given back to the leasing company in exchange for a different car. It can be lots of fun to try out different cars all the time and will save the hassle of major repairs and grief.

There are so many advantages to car leasing it’s easy to see why it’s becoming so popular. An individual or company you can save a lot of money and hassle by simply leasing a car instead of buying it outright.

WEBconference applications for marketing

The key people are committed to organizing brainstorming sessions and focus groups, and in conceiving and validating concepts. Press conferences, sometimes lasting several weeks, are also held during product launches. For the fruition of these efforts, the prospects have to be carefully identified as qualified. Otherwise, these efforts will be futile, and the team will have to begin again without being able to capitalize their exchanges and use them repeatedly.

The marketing team announces on their WEB site the online presentations (WEBinar), for which the visitors have to register in advance. The brainstorming sessions among colleagues, the focus groups, press conferences, and product launching are done long distance during webconferences. In addition, these events are completely recorded, both voice and images, and then copied by different means and placed on the WEB site, the local network, and on CD or DVD in order to be reused or replayed for new prospects, employees, and partners.

The added advantage of WEBinars is that the participants are identified as qualified beforehand. It's only later on that they are considered as prospects for the sales team - this produces better "closing" performance from the team. The time devoted to events is significantly reduced. The response rate of the prospects is faster. The audio-visual archives integrated through the years represent priceless collateral material that can support sales. In addition, we have the power of multimedia to the performance of polymedia, on different kinds of supports, regardless of the time.

Accenture Named Diversity Initiative Achievement Winner

Accenture, a global management consulting and outsourcing company, has earned the Annual Diversity Initiative Achievement Award winner title for the second time in the last three years. Accenture has been awarded by the National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF); and received it at the Annual Meeting and Law Firm Expo of NAMWOLF in New York.

The Annual Diversity Initiative

Achievement Award identifies a business partner of National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) which spends a minimum of 5% of its outside counsel budget on minority and women-owned law firms. Since its inauguration three years ago, Accenture has been taking part in the program and was the first award recipient of NAMWOLF in the year 2005.

Yolanda Coly, managing director of NAMWOLF said, "Not only has Accenture done an outstanding job in hiring and forming long-lasting relationships with law firms owned and run by women and minorities, but the company has also been a powerful vocal advocate for our cause and those of other organizations, championing a more diverse corporate America throughout the years."

Accenture's associate general counsel and director of the company's legal services in the Americas, Joel Stern, said that Accenture is continuously finding out innovative methods of generating an inclusive culture which will reinforce their ability to deliver new solutions to their clientele. He further said, "By providing an efficient way to connect with a talented pool of minority - and women-owned law firms throughout the nation, NAMWOLF is a powerful tool to help us accelerate our journey."

7 Things to Look for in a New Desktop PC

7 Things to Look for in a New Desktop PC If you're not a techie, buying hardware can be an arduous task. Use these tips for buying a machine that best suits your business needs.

Does your old clunker make wheezing noises when it boots up? Has your typing become faster than your computer? Tired of looking at the Windows hourglass for minutes at a time?

Perhaps it's time for a new desktop computer.

Computer manufacturers continue to struggle with weak business. Meanwhile, component manufacturers are making their goods smaller, faster and cheaper. The upshot: You can get a good deal on a powerful machine.

I can't recommend individual machines. They might not be on the market when you read this. Instead, let's go through the components that make up computers. Use these to help decide what you need.

Following are seven points to ponder before you buy:

The Microprocessor

This is one of the most expensive parts. Microprocessors for Windows machines are made by Intel and AMD. Those for Apples are made by IBM and Motorola. So here's my first piece of advice: Don't worry so much about who makes the chip. All four are good. For Windows machines, you have a choice of the AMD Athlon XP, the Intel Pentium 4 and the Intel Celeron, an economy chip. The Pentium 4 and Athlon XP are upper end chips. The fastest Pentium 4 runs at 3.2 Gigahertz — a very fast speed indeed. It's also very expensive. The comparable AMD chip, the 3200+, is slightly less expensive.

You may need these fire-breathers if you're doing lots of video editing. Ditto if you're working with computer-aided design or playing advanced games. Otherwise, look to chips running at 2.4 GHz to 2.6 GHz (or 2400+ to 2600+, in AMD-powered machines). They're cheaper, and they perform nearly as well as the top-end chips.

Intel's Celeron is a budget chip. If you do typical office duties and surf the web, you probably wouldn't notice the difference between a top-end Celeron and a Pentium 4 running at the same speed. But you could save some money.

Apple and AMD chips run at lower speeds than those made by Intel. AMD uses the + symbol, as in 3200+, to imply that its chips are faster than comparable Intel microprocessors, despite running more slowly. Indeed, tests often show that to be the case.

Apple claims that its top-end machines are faster than those running Windows. That is a matter of controversy; there are websites devoted to debunking Apple's claims. Apple's chips run at much lower speeds, so they are difficult to compare directly. If you're interested in an Apple computer, test one at a store, then test a Windows machine. Apple computers are more expensive than comparable Windows machines.

Both Apple and AMD have new 64-bit microprocessors. They can crunch twice as much data as 32-bit chips. But there are virtually no programs that take advantage of this power now. That will change in the future, but these expensive new chips don't offer as much value today.

The Operating System

Windows XP and Apple's OS X are also difficult to compare. But there's really no need. Both are stable and fast. You'll probably be satisfied with either.

Windows XP comes in two flavours: Home and Professional. Windows XP Professional has all of Home's goodies, plus some other stuff. Most of it is networking capability. Professional costs more.

But it does have some nice features. One is Remote Desktop, which allows you to access one computer from another. For instance, you could sign onto your office computer from home and check your email. It also allows you to encrypt files and folders.

Random Access Memory

You will need a minimum of 256 megabytes of memory. If you can afford it, get 512 MB. I'd go to one gigabyte for demanding applications, such as video editing. Memory is relatively inexpensive, so don't skimp.

Hard Drives are Big and Bigger

If you do a lot of video work, you need a big hard drive. Video files are huge. Hard drives at 200 to 250 GB are common and relatively inexpensive.

Otherwise, the gargantuan drives common today far outstrip the customer's needs. Even low-end machines today have 40 GB hard drives. You are unlikely to fill that. I recommend putting your extra money elsewhere.

The Video System

The video system sends the picture to the monitor. Many inexpensive computers use the main-system RAM to run video. The video processor is built into the motherboard (the main circuit board). This works, but is less desirable.

Better computers have a separate circuit board, called a video card. This includes the video processor and memory. For video cards, 64 MB of RAM is pretty standard. That's more than enough for day-to-day computing.

However, if you are doing video work or playing advanced games, get a card with 128 MB of RAM. Truly hardcore game players can get cards with 256 MB of RAM.

The Monitor

Do you need to buy a monitor? Most people get one without thinking. But monitors don't necessarily come with computers. Often, you can lower your cost by refusing the monitor. If you're satisfied with your current monitor, it should work OK with your new computer.

There are two basic types of monitor, as mentioned above: CRTs and flat-panels. CRTs are the cheaper option: I would not buy a CRT monitor that was less than 17 inches. Keep in mind that that measurement is diagonal, and includes a portion of the screen hidden behind the bezel. A 17-inch CRT will have a visible screen size of 16 inches or less.

Flat-panel monitors are far more expensive than CRTs. They come in two flavours: analogue and digital. Digital signals are produced natively by the computer; they do not need to be converted. Analogue signals are converted from digital by the video system. Some consider digital signals clearer.

CDs and DVDs

All computers come with optical drives — either CD or DVD. All but the very cheapest have burners. ("Burning" is the process of making a CD or DVD.) CD-RW burners are still the most common, but DVD burners are available on more expensive machines.

DVD is wildly popular, but remains troubled by incompatible standards. You're likely to see DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW on a computer. They are incompatible, but most players can handle R discs made on either. R means a disc can be recorded once. RW stands for rewriteable, meaning a disc can be recorded numerous times. DVD burners can also make CDs.

I recommend that you purchase a CD-RW, at least.

One final point: I hear from so many people wondering when the best time to buy a computer is. There will always be something faster, better, hotter, cooler, bigger or smaller coming. If you need a computer, buy one now.

Classified Ads - (A directory of nothing but spam)

Much like a newspaper Classified Ad section, there are hundreds if not thousands of places online you can submit a “website promotional” classified Ad to promote your business. Unfortunately, the format of these things simply invites severe spamming as a few hundred webmasters out there will continuously spam each single Ad millions of times, sometimes daily, to the same directory!

You may have never seen one of these things because they are hidden away where human eyes would not likely go. They are most usually stumbled upon from the other side, when some scam artist sells a newbie an “Ad Blasting” or some similar ploy guaranteeing that the poor guy’s listing will be posted in thousands of different places.

On the bright side, such a listing is placed in a category so that any resulting traffic would be semi-targeted. Also, Ads are instantly posted to these automatic boards, so any traffic would be instant as well. But that’s where my enthusiasm ends. Since there are so many Ads coming in, yours will only stay on the top page for a few seconds, if that long. To my knowledge, no one has ever read one of those horrible, spammy ads and no one in their right mind ever will.

Search Engines avoid these locations like the plague and being found in them can actually HURT your Search Engine rankings! Quite likely, these listings will likely do more harm for your site than good. I highly recommend keeping your distance.

Woman’s search for a husband goes online

Finding a rich husband may be a bad business deal, or so an anonymous 25 year old woman was advised recently.

The woman, who posted an ad on the New York was looking for advice on the best way to acquire a husband who made, at minimum, more than $500,000 a year.  This may seem like a large sum, but on Wall Street, where bankers can earn yearly bonuses of up to $10 million, an annual salary of more than a half of a million dollars, while not exactly common, is not unheard of, either.

“I know how that sounds,,” said the woman in her ad, “but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don’t think I’m overreaching at all. I dated a business man who makes average around 200-250, but that’s where I seem to hit a roadblock. $2350,00 won’t get me into Central Park West.”  The woman went on to describe herself as both “spectacularly beautiful,” and “superficial.”

The ad was answered by a so called “mystery banker” who claimed to fit the qualifications, and offered the anonymous woman some advice, after describing her proposition as “plain and simple a crappy business deal.”

“Your looks will fade,” he said, in an online response to her posting. “And my money will continue into perpetuity. . . in fact, it is very likely that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won’t be getting any more beautiful!”

“So in economic terms,” he continued, “you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning asset. Let me explain, you’re 25 now and will likely stay pretty hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!”

A report that a banker from JPMorgan Chase was responsible for the ad posting responses has been dismissed by the bank as “an error.”  According to Brian Marchiony, spokesman for JPMorgan Chase, a banker’s email signature became accidentally attached to the ad and responses when he forwarded them on to his friends.

A spokeswoman for told the New York Times that the posting and responses, both of which have since been removed, “looked as if they were made sincerely.”

According to the, 30% of all Americans have used an online matchmaking site or service in the past year.  10% of these people reported that posting ads on sites like also figured into their online date seeking.

5 Ways to Stay Motivated in Your Work at Home Business

Whether you're just starting out with your work at home business or you've had a home business for many years, you'll need to stay motivated if you're going to see continual success. Everyone goes through a home business slump occasionally, but it's those who stay motivated who will reach their goals. Here are five simple ways you can stay motivated in your work at home business.

1. Work from a List

Create a daily, weekly and even monthly list of things to do in your business. This sounds so simple, but yet a "to do" list is a powerful tool in helping you accomplish home business tasks. Prioritize your list each day so you can do those things that are most important first. If you have tasks that you absolutely dread, then put those tasks at the very top of the list if possible. This will give you a free mind for the remainder of the day to concentrate on the tasks you enjoy.

A list can consist of many things, from promotion steps to phone calls to make, and even a stack of papers that must be organized on your desk. Most successful business people create a list and then check off items as they are completed. This gives a sense of accomplishment throughout the day as you complete tasks.

2. Search for New Opportunities during Slow Business Times

Having a slow time in your work at home business? Don't despair. And, whatever you do, don't go apply for a job at the local fast food chain - just yet! Stay motivated by seeking out other home business opportunities that may tie into your current business.

Perhaps you offer a product or service that sells very slowly during the spring months. You could seek out related products or services that would be popular during those months to offset the other in profits. This will give you a chance to make money and enjoy multiple streams of income year round!

3. Take an Online Training Course for Better Education

Educate yourself through online training courses related to your field so you can learn how to maximize your skills and profits. There are many training courses available online today in the fields of web design, graphic design, online marketing, real estate, travel, office skills, medical, insurance, and finance.

With online training, you choose only those courses that will benefit you and your work at home business. You can usually take the courses at your own leisure from home, and will pay far less than you would for a college course.

4. Expand Marketing Avenues

Don't settle for less. Use the wisdom and experience of others who have been in business a while to expand your marketing avenues. You might consider reading after top marketers to get Internet marketing ideas. Also, there are many ways to promote your work at home business off-line.

To stay motivated, always test your efforts to see what results they bring. This is far more exciting than paying for ads and never knowing if they work or not!

5. Network with Others

Another way to stay motivated during a business slump is to network with others. Find others in related fields who can offer advice and encouragement about your business. A work at home business can be lonely at times because you never leave the house! Finding others online and off-line who do the same thing will give you an outlet for those lonely days.

Use these tips to stay motivated in your work at home business. You deserve success, so don't give up!

Get Ready For Halloween Today!

Halloween is one holiday that most children really enjoy, but too many parents get stressed out over it. Some simple planning though will help you get ready for it instead of dreading it. Costumes are always an issue for children and they should have some say in what they get to wear. Put a dollar amount limit on it if they want to have a costume purchased instead of made.

All costumes should be tried on so you know they are going to be a good fit for your children. Too many accidents happen due to eye holes not lining up correctly and them tripping over the bottom of it. Take care of these issues before Halloween so that they can just slip it on that night and go out.

Make sure you explain Halloween safety to your children before the big night. This way they will pay attention because they won’t be overly excited. Try it out during dinner the week of Halloween to ensure it is fresh in their minds. Explain they need to use sidewalks and never dart between cars to cross the street. This should only be done at the crosswalks. It is a good idea to give each child a flashlight or a glow stick so they are easier to notice. They also need to refrain from eating any candy that they get until an adult has carefully inspected it.

It is easy to serve up a fun and scary Halloween meal without too much effort. Since you know the little ghosts and witches will be eating plenty of candy in the days to come you can be proud to serve them something healthy as well. For just a couple of dollars you can purchase brain Jell-o molds. Mix up a meat loaf and let it sit over night in the refrigerator. These molds are made from plastic so you can’t bake in them but the design will become indented in the meat as it sits overnight.

Serve up plain white rice or even broccoli rice with the meatloaf on a plate as brains and maggots. Your children will really enjoy eating them and this doesn’t take very much effort to complete either. You can also make a delightful and delicious punch to serve with it. The night before fill up rubber gloves with water and tie the ends shut. Make sure you separate the fingers as you place them in the freezer.

In a punch bowl mix black cherry juice with a two liter of 7-Up. Place the hands into the mixture for icy hands that are very real looking. To make the punch even for Halloweenish, add some scoops of rainbow sherbet to it.

Getting ready for Halloween doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming so have fun with it. This is a holiday that people of all ages can enjoy. Start making your plans for it today so that everyone can have a good time without worrying about last minute details.

The number of companies involved in SaaS deployments is doubling in the next 12 months; many of them have experienced pitfalls that could have been avoided with some minor research and planning up-front. While there is a diverse amount of technology and business processes that can be addressed using SaaS, there remains a handful of common tasks that need to be performed at the beginning of your project that will aid in tracking the project’s impact and progress.

Deployment Footprint

Create a UML Deployment diagram early. A Deployment Diagram helps everyone quickly identify what systems and users will be impacted by the change in technology and process. Having the Deployment Diagram exist as a living artifact throughout the lifetime of your project also helps other teams easily asses impact to any new or existing projects.

Project Timeline

Leverage your SaaS provider’s experience. Often service providers for SaaS projects will have a library of best-practices that can aid your project management team. Focus on how the SaaS company defines milestones and understand how they project the duration from one milestone to the next. The information the SaaS company provides can be used to build dependencies in your project plan.

Process Integration

One of the major benefits to using SaaS is that packaged services are designed to easily integrate with existing technologies and infrastructures. When looking at SaaS applications, make sure there are XML or RMI interfaces. Also, well-documented database schemas great for running ad-hoc queries. Most SaaS vendors provide robust reporting capabilities - just make sure they provide you the documentation to interface with the system.

ROI Milestone

Define your ROI milestones early. It’s ok if your expectations for cost-savings are all over the place. Your SaaS provider will have financial models that will help your organization forecast cost-savings by using their implementation over using a standard model.

SaaS models can easily reduce your projects costs by double-digit percentages. The key as you gain experience with SaaS is to refine your process in the same way a software development life-cycle will evolve. Additionally, leverage your SaaS provider’s experience and become partners in completing a successful project.

5 Ways Blogging Can Help Your Business

Not long ago, a diary was a deeply personal thing — a journal of thoughts and observations, kept under lock and key and often buried in a dresser drawer.

The Web has a way of changing things. Now, a diary of thoughts, observations and insight — posted on the Internet — may be a way to boost your business.

Web logs, or "blogs" as they're better known, have become a way to engage readers and potential customers of businesses big and small.

A blog is a journal posted on a Web site, updated on a regular basis and containing news, opinions, ideas and brainstorms. It might also have links to other sources of information, other Web sites and other blogs.

Many blogs cut both ways, inviting readers to post feedback on what they see. While that can apply to everything from sports and entertainment, it can also generate interest — and, ultimately, income — for your business.

No, blogs aren't for everyone. But see how they can accomplish these five basic business objectives.

1. Expose a new or little-known product or idea

For Grant Smith, blogging makes a world of sense on a number of levels. Smith operates a business that provides streaming video e-mail and related video communications products. Since many prospective clients might know little about video e-mail, Smith says his blog is a natural way to provide specifics.

"I began blogging to get established in the technology," Smith says. "It can have a positive impact for business. Readers are always looking for more ways to find out information about companies and for ways to interact."

That, in turn, can lead to a more informed customer and a more time-effective sales process. Rather than taking time to pitch your product or service to a client who may not need it, a blog supplants you as an information source. If a prospect contacts you, that's great. If not, you've wasted no time in explaining something that generates nothing in return.

2. Improve your search engine rankings

Blogging also puts you in touch with prospects in other ways. As any company with a position on the Internet realises, Web site visitors that come via Google, MSN and other search engines can provide numerous leads. Blogs can add to the frequency with which search vehicles identify you and your company, particularly if your blog allows readers to post a response.

If done properly, blogs have a tremendous benefit relative to search engines, according to Brad Fallon, president of SEO Research, a search engine marketing firm. "With blogs that allow comments, every new post and every new comment becomes an additional Web page filled with additional keywords to be picked up by the search engine spiders," he says.

3. Position yourself as an expert in an industry or field

Blogging also can also prove an effective marketing tool to establish yourself as an authority in your field. Not only can that generate leads, it also sends a positive message about your credentials through the marketplace and also gives your business a face and a personality.

4. Influence public opinion

Blogging also allows users to bypass traditional journalistic venues and, in effect, become a publisher of their own thoughts and viewpoints. For Steve Rubel, vice president of client services at a public relations firm, blogs are also fast becoming a powerful influence on public opinion.

"Blogs have evolved into legitimate alternative sources of news on niche and micro-niche topics," Rubel says. "Anyone with a passion and dedication could become an amateur journalist. I feel some of these sites — in aggregate — are having just as much sway on public opinion as larger, more established media brands."

5. Engage in a forum openly with your customers

Just as important, blogs that solicit reader comments can provide a sense of immediacy with your customers. In one respect, that's a ready source of feedback on what you're doing right and what you need to improve.

"My blog provides a forum for customers to give feedback after plunking their money down," says Fallon. "The result? While the normal market is lucky to have one-half of 1% of customers send an unsolicited testimonial, I have already collected glowing testimonials from over 15% of my customers."

Enhance Productivity and Safety for Your Business with Industrial Roll Up Doors

If you own a warehouse, storage facility, or industrial business, you probably realize the importance of safety, productivity, and energy conservation. Old doors to divide your plant sections or warehouse storage areas can be a hazard in more ways than one. That's why it's a good idea to replace your old doors with new, energy-efficient roll up doors. Here are some benefits and key features of roll up doors.

Easy to Use

One issue that's often overlooked in manufacturing facilities is ease of use for the doors. Doors can be a hassle, especially those that swing outward or upward when opened. They must be held open or "held up" by some type of device or they could possibly fall or close suddenly on a worker or on your equipment. This can pose a threat to workers on the job every day without their realizing it. For instance, someone operating moving equipment such as a forklift could easily crash into an open door and get hurt or damage the products they are carrying.

With commercial rollup doors, workers can easily and quickly open and close the doors for a fast entrance or exit. This helps to improve productivity and prevent door hazards. When you replace your doors with rollup doors, you can choose the method of opening and closing such as manual push-up, chain, or motor operated doors.

Heavy-Duty for Protection

Rollup doors come in heavy-duty materials for protection against burglary, weathering, and on-the-job accidents. The doors usually come in materials such as steel, wood, or concrete to provide safety and insulation against cold and heat. Many rollup doors provide protection against dust or contaminants in the air for food processing plants or chemical plants. If you live in an area where there are frequent hurricanes or high winds, there are rollup doors that can withstand high winds and heavy rains.

Customized for Your Needs

Industrial roll up doors can be customized to meet your needs. A rollup door specialist can measure your door openings and create rollup doors to fit perfectly with your building. They come in many colors that are bright and easily recognized by workers, day or night.

Save Money with Commercial Roll Up Doors

You can save money on energy costs by installing insulated rollup doors. These can keep cold air in and hot air out during the hot months, and vice versa during the winter months. Another way to save money is by reducing the number of safety hazards for workers. This helps reduce injuries on the job, workers compensation, and insurance premiums. Rollup doors provide a safe alternative to other types of doors or sectional barriers.

Other Rollup Door Products

Even if you don't manage a factory or warehouse, there are still many other uses for rollup doors. There are mini storage doors, roll garage doors, and self-storage doors to provide you with safe, convenient storage or garage doors.

With rollup doors, you can make life easier for your workers and enjoy a safer, more productive environment at your plant or warehouse. Check out the rollup door advantages and features online to see how they can benefit you.

RSS Feeds – The Basics For Everyday People

Undoubtedly, you have visited various websites as you search the Internet for information, and you see icons or read messages that invite you to subscribe to the site's "RSS Feed". But you may not really understand what an RSS feed is.

RSS stands for "really simple syndication". As you surf the Internet, you invariably find a number of sites that have information that you would like to see more of or which you wish to track. The problem you face is having to manually go to the sites checking for any new updates.

RSS is a technology that allows you to check new information on the web sites you're interested in right from your desktop browser, without having to visit the site itself. RSS solves the problem of having to manually visit and check a site for new information by bringing the web pages to you instead of you going to them.

In order to use RSS, you simply need to have access to a computer and an Internet connection. You also need an RSS reader or an aggregator. The RSS reader will display a headline of the new posting along with a brief synopsis of the related content. You read the synopsis and if it interests you, you click on the headline, which will take you directly to the web page it is published on. You can have as many RSS subscriptions as you want.

As a webmaster, you can use RSS to promote your own website. When used properly, RSS can be a potent marketing tool. You enlist other sites to subscribe to your RSS feed, and display your updated content on their home pages. This allows you to reach new audiences to which you would not otherwise have access, and helps to spread your information exponentially.

RSS is simple to offer (no pun intended) and equally simple for your subscribers to use. Because of its simplicity, it is sometimes a preferred marketing method when compared to email newsletter marketing. Many people are choosing to subscribe to RSS feeds for instant information rather than subscribe to email newsletters.

RSS is a convenient form of information distribution, and because people can easily subscribe or unsubscribe at any time, it's a tool with which they're very comfortable. The benefit to you is that as a webmaster, you get your web site broadcast to potentially millions of people through RSS, and you can also use RSS as a means to get fresh updated content for your site too.

Panama Escrow Services

Introduction - Many of our clients are in need of an escrow based in Panama to buy or sell an asset. In Panama unlike other countries, lawyers are not allowed to run escrows themselves. The services of a licensed entity able to lawfully open, manage and successfully close an escrow would be used. Panama Legal Law Firm would be representing you as the buyer or seller and protect your interests in the transaction and at close of the process.

Sales Contracts - Our law firm can create the required sales contracts compliant with the Laws of Panama. These contracts re incorporated into the escrow instructions. We follow the escrow every step of the way to make sure you get what is agreed upon.

Escrow Instructions - We generate full and complete escrow instructions assuring you of a fully protected position during and after the escrow process.

Non - Escrowed Asset Sales - This is possible if the buyer and seller are friendly. Some basic precautionary measures can be taken but it does not provide the protection of an escrow but there are some things that can be done if the buyer and seller are cooperative and not on adversarial terms.

Corporate Owned Assets - In some instances a Panama Bearer Share Corporation owns the asset to be sold. In such cases one is merely transferring the stock in the corporation, which allows the buyer to then control the corporation, and of course in turn they get control and/or possession of the asset.

Foundations and Escrows - A Panama Private Interest Foundation can of course buy or sell assets using an escrow or not using an escrow, as well. A Panama Foundation is a judicial person and as such has the right to own, control, buy or sell its own assets which are separate from private individuals assets even though the private individual in question may be a foundation beneficiary or foundation protector.

Real Estate Escrows - Most Panama real estate transactions are conducted through the use of an escrow. Guarantees of clear title are one component of the escrow. We are quite well versed with real estate escrow transactions and would be happy to take you through the real estate sale or purchase experience from start to finish. We do not represent any real estate seller or developers and do not have any conflict of interest; we represent you and you alone.

Selling Your Business Using a Panama Escrow ? This is a way to easily get business sale proceeds into a Panama Corporation or Foundation. Have the ownership of the business transferred to a Panama Corporation or Foundation before the sale. Remember the Panama Corporation can be owned by a Panama Foundation thus removing you from being the owner of the corporation. Under Panama Law no one owns a foundation so even though you might be a foundation beneficiary or a foundation protector you are never going to be the owner of a Panama foundation. You can control the corporation and foundation through a general power of attorney and a general management agreement if needed. The Panama escrow deposits the funds into your Panama Bank Account belonging to the Panama Corporation or Foundation, which you are not the owner of but you do sign on the bank account. A check of Panama public records would not reveal that the corporation changed owners.

Sale of Non Panama Real Estate - If the non Panama Real Estate is owned by a Panama Corporation the sale can be accomplished through an escrow in Panama. The shares of the stock, which lets one control the corporation, would be transferred. This would give the buyer control over the assets of the corporation, more specifically in this case the real estate owned by the corporation. The title of the real estate need never change in the other country since the same corporation owns the real estate, just the ownership of the corporation changes. Ownership of Panama Corporations is not recorded in any registry or database and the government does not know who owns the corporations. There is also no requirement to report changes in ownership to anyone in Panama.

Sale of Boats and Marine Vessels in Panama - The same principles apply. The boat is titled to a Panama Corporation and the shares of the corporation change hands through the sale with or without an escrow and the new owner gets control of the corporation and all its assets, in this case the boat. The registration of the boat stays the same since it is still titled to the corporation.

If you are in need of legal assistance to arrange the purchase or sale of an asset in Panama we would be glad to assist as your legal representative. Please feel free to inquire.

Improving Manufacturing Cycle Times Through Machine Tooling

Machining center manufacturers are all looking for and touting the ability to reduce part cycle times by offering faster and more efficient machines. That is what the job shop and part production customers of these products demand, because their end-product customers are driving a purchasing philosophy of lower costs per part.

While the choice of a high-speed machining center makes a major difference in operational productivity and part cost, the tooling utilized on that machine can be another dominant factor. The efficiency of such new, special purpose proprietary tooling can even further enhance the output of a horizontal machining center. It can provide a wide degree of flexibility in compressing several machining processes, especially in parts production.

Makino, a global provider of advanced machining technology, says that the use of special-purpose and multifunctional tools, like the SmartTools it manufactures, helps in this process compression. These specially designed and patented tools reduce cycle times as well as production costs, which saves money.

As an example, there are a number of unique, special tools that can reduce the initial capital investment and drive out substantial process time in the machining of engine blocks. Cylinder bores can be finished and honed with a precise closed-loop boring system that automatically compensates for tool wear or thermal distortion and produces exceptional repeatability.

You can also grind bimetallic surfaces utilizing a cubic boron nitride superabrasive grinding wheel all on a standard machining center.

Machines incorporated with this special, multifunctional tooling will outperform a number of individual specialty-purpose machines when used in an integrated system. Mid - to high-volume parts manufacturers often invest in state-of-the-art machine tool technology, and can further enhance their flexibility and productivity with the use of such special-purpose tooling.

With more and more demand to streamline processes and production cycle times, especially from original equipment manufacturer outsourcing operations, there is a growing need for more valuable and cost-effective solutions for jobs shops and production facilities. And, the solutions exist to allow them to "work smarter."

Can money be made from web page hits?

A lot of people are asking themselves if they can make money from their web pages hits in case they do have a webpage. The answer is not directly a yes. This is because web page hits are simply those number of times that other people are visiting your website. It shows your popularity or otherwise ion the cyberworld.

However, you can make money from this if only you know how. There are plenty of ways on how to do this and you can also make use of multiple ways as to how to gain money from multiple streams of opportunity available.

The first one that you can translate into money is the advertising stream potential of your website in case you do are getting a considerable number of hits. You can advertise by either using Google's Adsense wherein they put automatic ads for you and then you can gain a commission every time that someone actually buys a product through the ads in your website.

If you don't want to use Google, then you can use Commission Junction wherein you can personally choose the kind of ads that you will be putting up on your website. There is of course countless number of advertisers that lets you do the same thing. The only difference between them is probably the policies involved when dealing with the payment and other details.

You can also certainly try to sell products that you made yourself. Since your website is already having a considerable number of web page hits, it is more likely that a certain number of your visitors will be interested in what you have to sell.

It is presumed that you have already done the hard part of selling yourself to your audience. The companies whose product that you are advertising or selling directly is more than willing to pay you a handsome commission because the hard part of attracting the people's attention has already been done by you.

There are also other unconventional ways of getting money in return for your sites popularity. You can try selling your website to others who want to ride in the popularity that your website has.

It does not mean that you will be giving them complete control, rather you will simply be giving attention to their products as if they were your own or you can use your website as a place where they can have their links piggyback to you.

This will automatically place their websites in a higher page rank with Google which in turn translates to more money for both of you.

U.S. Economy Needs Skilled Foreign Workers

The recent debate over immigration policy commonly depicts immigrants as undocumented, uneducated people who flood our borders without inspection.

Although many immigrants who enter this country are unskilled laborers who provide essential services in many sectors of our economy, of equal importance to the immigration debate are the highly educated foreign professionals whose skills play a vital role in the enrichment of our economy.

The U.S. economy has shifted significantly over the past 50 years. We are no longer the blue collar nation that we once were. The transformation from a manufacturing to a knowledge-based economy has created a growing demand for skilled technical workers. This demand has been accompanied by a decline in the number of native-born students seeking degrees in the fields of science, engineering and technology.

Our prestigious graduate institutions currently train more foreign nationals than U.S. citizens in these fields. To alleviate labor shortages, U.S. businesses must be able to recruit and hire additional foreign-born professionals.

We must retain the educated professionals whom we have trained internally in order to benefit from the unique skills that they possess. By sending the best and the brightest workers back to their respective countries, we only create competition for ourselves, thereby diminishing America's economic clout.

In order to increase the number of highly skilled professionals in this country, it is necessary to reform the employment-based immigration system and provide a sufficient amount of avenues through which U.S. businesses can legally employ specialized workers. We must increase the number of specialized worker visas awarded.

H-1B visas, or temporary skilled worker visas, are currently capped at only 65,000 annually. Yet, this "cap" is reached in a couple of months, and U.S. businesses are barred from hiring foreign-born professionals for the remainder of the fiscal year.

At the same time, we must increase recruitment and training of U.S. students. H-1B visas accelerate this process; a hefty portion of the processing fees for the H-1B visas are directed to the education and training of U.S. students in science and technology.

It is important that skilled workers are not overlooked in the current debate regarding comprehensive immigration reform. Raising the H-1B visa cap is vital to maintaining our leadership in the world market. By retaining foreign nationals, we may ensure that U.S. businesses have the most highly qualified workers in their fields, helping America maintain its edge in an increasingly competitive global economy.

Identity Document Scams

International Drivers Licenses - These are sold on the Internet. Legitimate ones are issued by the recognized auto club in your country and are ONLY valid with the normal government issued drivers license. The legitimate International Drivers License is little more than a translation document in numerous languages enabling authorities to see that you do hold a valid drivers license from your country. It is never a permission to drive by itself. It is never an identity document by itself since it was not issued by any government agency and if it is a real international drivers license you would have had to show a real drivers license to get one, so where is your real drivers license. Occasionally someone asks us if we would accept this as a form of identification and the answer is of course not.

Drivers Licenses - There are replica or false drivers licenses sold on the Internet. The banks are quite capable of knowing what is real and what is not real. People that buy these licenses are fooling themselves more than anyone else.

Passports - A few times a year our law firm gets presented with a hand written passport. Most large countries have not used hand written passports for over 35 years. Some of the less developed countries used them until the post 9/11 era, say around 2002. While it is possible to have a valid handwritten passport that is still current, the offshore banks will never accept one as an ID document. It must be a machine-readable passport. I would also say that traveling on a handwritten passport into the modern world would be difficult if not impossible. Most countries have machine readable passports with digitized photos, some even have RFID chip passports now and along you come with a handwritten passport and a picture glued into the passport with a stamp and signature across the bottom of the picture. I would think big problems. Get your country to issue you a new machine-readable passport with a digitized photo.

Camouflage Passports - A camouflage passport is a non-official document printed in a passport type booklet. Such passport booklets could be ordered from printers in Asia, not sure if this is still allowed to go on, doubt it. The camouflage passport was issued from a recently defunct country like Rhodesia. So the name of the issuer sounded quite real because at one time it was. When these first came out some offshore banks opened accounts based on them. After they were on the market for a while that soon stopped and the people who used them to open the accounts had their funds locked down. Perhaps they were allowed to show new identity documents; perhaps they were treated as criminals defrauding the bank and lost their money. Not sure since these countries at the time had bank secrecy. We are going back a number of years here. We are sure that numerous memos have been sent to offshore banks warning them of this and it was also a topic at numerous due diligence seminars. Again the person fooled the most by one of these camouflage passports is the buyer. Using one of these in the event of a terrorist detention in an airplane, hotel or elsewhere is unwise. You would be treated as a person of interest and probably questioned vigorously. If they simply decided you were nothing more than a person who likes to play games they would possibly lose interest in you but then again you came to their attention and became singled out and that is never a good thing is such a scenario. Contrary to what you see on TV and in the movies serious terrorists would be likely to do what any self respecting Mexican Road Bandito does and that is strip 100% naked the victims. This does not play out well on family oriented TV shows. This enables the bad guys to find things like identity documents, official credentials, keys, discrete weapons, money, contraband, and anything else that might have been concealed. So they will now find your other real passport and again you are a person of interest to the bad guys.

Traveling with a camouflage passport is of course idiotic. If the authorities of some country find one on you it would be likely that you get detained and experience a long interrogation or worse especially if the name was different. This is a novelty item, not a second passport. These camouflage passports can only come back and hurt you. If you really fear traveling on your own passport go through the trouble of processing through immigration in another country and get a real second passport. Then you should have a government issued residency card, a driver?s license from the country and a visa card from a bank in that country, as we suggest and help our clients obtain. This is a full set of real legitimate ID that will pass scrutiny in any country.

Fantasia Passports - These are passports issued from non-real countries. A famous one is Hutt River. There is a fellow who has a very modest parcel of land in Australia. He read some law and as a result declared war on Australia. They apparently did not mobilize the army and just ignored him, which left him able to declare his independence, or so he thinks, claims, or whatever. He calls himself a country and issues passports. He bought the passport books most likely in Asia. I believe his are printed but not machine readable so he probably is not able to get newer ones or he just wants to use up the ones he has. I even saw a diplomatic version of one of these once.

These passports are not good for much. Maybe if you were in a real depraved third world country and tried a land crossing through an obscure border crossing going from one depraved third world country to another depraved third world country and there was an illiterate guard there it might work. People often take these fantasy passports and submit them for entry visas to third world countries in Africa who are happy to sell anyone a visa stamp. They collect a few entry visas and then try using it since it looks more real in that other countries have accepted it. Of course all the countries they have allegedly visited have only entry visas without an exit visa, which will raise many red flags in a civilized country.

Another instance of these involved an old WWII oil platform a few miles off the cost of the UK called Sea Land. This was an oil platform that declared itself sovereign and issued passports. For a funny touch of humor. Over the years counterfeiters have printed their own versions of the fictitious countries selling passports and sold them thus cheating the original promoter out of sales knowing a prosecution would be almost impossible since the country in question is not real. The Florida Keys tried issuing their own passports some years back issuing Conch Republic passports. Conch is a fish used in seafood in the Florida Keys. These are very real looking fantasy passports. I imagine by now they have been pressured into stopping this practice. In a nutshell you are far safe and better off without one of these fictitious country passports than with one.

Panama Real Estate: Evictions

Introduction - Our law firm, Panama Legal, occasionally gets queries about the eviction process in Panama for residential real estate. Below follows a brief summary of the process and time frames involved. This is not legal advice, just an overview of what is involved.

Applicable Law - Law #93 dated 1973 is the law that covers residential real estate leases in Panama. Some leases that would be excluded from coming under this law would be leases with following attributes:

* leases of rural property

* leases of property in the reverted Canal Zone

* leases where the rent is calculated by the day such as a hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, boarding house, Inn, etc.

* leases of property primarily designated as vacation property where the term including any existing renewals of the lease is under 180 days

* leases whereby the government of Panama or its municipalities are parties in the lease agreement. However if they do appear in the lease agreement as the property owner or landlord they can utilize the eviction provisions of the applicable law we are dealing with here.

Rental Values - If the residential real estate in question has an initial rent in excess of $150 per month, the agreement can incorporate rental increases as agreed to by the parties of the lease agreement.

Lease Term - There is great freedom allowed in selecting a term for the lease as long as the rental value is in excess of $150. There can also be provisions for extensions of the lease term as well.

Lease Cancellation - The tenant is allowed to cancel any residential lease on 30 days written notice.

Security Deposit - Normally a security deposit equal to one months rent is submitted to the Panama Housing Ministry, which is returned at the end of the lease unless the landlord files a claim for damages.

Eviction Proceedings - This is generally going to take 120 days. The collection of the unpaid rent (if any) is going to take about 270 days. If the workload of the court is high legal processes could take longer. Do not plan on it going any faster.

Conclusion - The eviction process is a fairly long one. In many other countries it can even take longer. Some countries that are known for their large amounts of homeless people do have more abbreviated eviction procedures. If you are renting to an expatriate one needs to bear in mind that they may up and decide to leave Panama someday. If they do this discretely and not pay rent for their last few months here the landlord would suffer. They could have their funds out of the country along with all of their assets. They could also have their assets secreted in foundations and corporations that you know nothing about therefore keeping them immune from your attaching them.

If you are a landlord and are concerned about leasing to foreigners contact our law firm and we should be able to design some protective measure for you that are lawful.

If you are a landlord never engage in any self-eviction practices. Never disconnect the electricity or water, never change the locks and do not decide that their front doors or windows need painting on a Saturday night and remove them for painting. Tenants could file counter claims against your legal action and further extend the time frames for eviction. Do seek competent legal counsel.

With the Newspaper vending machines, the consumer can unlock the container and make off with all of the newspapers inside after paying for one. This vending machine is not that secure unless the buyer is honest enough to get just one newspaper.

Nowadays vending machines are not for foods and snacks only. They now sell iPod’s accessories, call cards, digital cameras and cameras for phones. Vending machine that sells modern electronic products has already become typical in other countries. These kinds of vending machines are usually placed in airports, grocery stores and shopping malls. These vending machines also accept credit cards as payment for the product you want to buy.

Vending machines are not created perfectly. There were some noted malfunctions like coin jam, coin blocking the detectors and products are not fully released. Vending machine manufacturers have seen these malfunctions and have further desired to make these machines better. In the last ten years, big improvements in the vending technology have been observed by the consumers making the machine a more effective way for fast and quick purchases.

Telemetry is one of the latest vending innovations. Telemetry is the start of affordable wireless technology making cashless payments more authenticated. Most vending machines honor exact change only and according to surveys, 50 % of consumers is stopped from using the vending machines because of the exact change only policy. With telemetry, machines are enabled to make sales even if the consumer doesn’t have the exact change. This is done through the bill changer. With telemetry, it is also now possible to transmit inventory and sales data to an assigned truck parked nearby the machine. This gives the signal to the driver or a staff in charge to take products to the vending machine for restocking.

One of the vending machines malfunctions noted is when the machine fails to release the products. In order to prevent this from happening, new vending machines especially those snack vending machines that sells light weight items such as chips and chocolates, are now installed with spirals that hold the items containing lasers. These are placed near the access door. The laser is designed to automatically detect the products that fall and when products are not detected after a specified time or minutes, the spiral automatically turns at maximum of three turns. If after three turns, the product fails to fall, the machine instructs the customer to either make another selection or refund his money.

Vending machines are one of the useful products of technology. The ease and convenience it brings to the consumers is really one great wonder in world moving in a fast pace. If a person feels hungry or perhaps needs anything in the middle of the night, he doesn't need to wait until the morning to get it. All he needs to do is drop by one of the vending machines nearby and get what he wants.

Cash Paid Surveys – How To Get Started

Cash Paid Surveys is a very good way to earn extra money today. It is convenient, easy and takes very little work. The best part about taking surveys is you can take them in comfort of your own home.  Sounds unbelievable to some, but it is true.

If you are looking for such an income generator, you should do your homework before taking the plunge.

There are some basic steps to getting setup with cash paid surveys. First, select a few sites that offer cash paid surveys and read carefully what they are offering you. Some sites will offer you direct access to the marketing companies who process the surveys. In this case you will have to browse the database and apply for the surveys you are interested in, other sites act as “the middle man” - thy have agreements with big marketing companies from which they receive the surveys and then distribute them through their registered users. In this case, you will have to passively wait for surveys to complete.

Also, bear in mind that not all paid surveys are actually cash paid surveys… Some surveys do not offer money as a reward for completing them. Instead, you might receive a free product or a service; discounts at certain merchants, vouchers or coupons, free trials, etc. there are even surveys that allow you to join a competition upon their completion. If you are not really after these kinds of remunerations, it's better to make this decision yourself in advance to avoid disappointment later.

Another important thing to consider is how you will get the cash and who is paying. If you have joined a mediator type of site, you are usually paid by that site, not the one you are doing the end survey for. If you have joined a database of companies seeking survey participants you are likely to be paid by the surveying company. Regardless of the details you should be aware of the payment method - are you going to be paid by check or by bank transfer etc.

Double Check Your Details!

Finally make sure that your personal details will be used as stated in the contact details you originally submitted. Unfortunately, there are many fraud survey web sites that would offer you to participate in a cash paid survey, for the sole purpose of getting hold of your personal details. From there, your details can later be sold to many other companies and you may end up receiving hundreds of unsolicited mail and SPAM emails.

How to Replace Your Sales Script with a Conversation

The main problem was that sales scripts ended up cornering the person I was calling into a "Yes" or "No."

And that made me feel sleazy and just fed the negative "salesperson" stereotype. It seemed too unnatural to pick up the phone and immediately pitch what I had to offer. I felt I was assuming way too much when the person didn’t even know me.

Now I want to share with you how my entire approach has changed thanks to Unlock The Game.

I spent one whole night studying your audio, video, and e-book materials from the Mastery program, and the next day the lightbulbs starting popping in my head.

I realized I shouldn’t be putting pressure on the other person by trying to lead them to say "yes" to my product or business opportunity.

I also realized that my mindset was backward. Mentally I was trying to get the appointment, but I was struggling to avoid using words that would give that away. And that was the conflict that was eating at me—I had a HIDDEN agenda, and the people I called picked up on the fact that I wasn’t being genuine.

So I shifted my thinking to what you suggest: "Focus on getting to the truth of whether there’s a fit or not instead of the getting the sale."

Once I began thinking that way, I realized that I had to first see if the person was open to the CONCEPT of another business opportunity before discussing whether they were interested or not.

In other words, I had to take a step back on the call, be humble, and begin with a new opening phrase. So here’s how it goes:

"Hi, my name is Ben, and we haven’t met yet." (This is great because it disarms any suspicion they might have about me.)

Then I say, "I’m just calling to see if you’d be open to the IDEA of a different kind of supplemental business where can generate income with minimal capital investment." (When I ask if they’re open to the IDEA first, people seem much more relaxed and open to talking to me about it.)

And that’s all I start with, because after that the conversation flows naturally to the end conclusion of whether we can work together or not.

Now I don’t have to feel nervous about getting to the next piece of my script because we just move into a natural conversation.

In fact, I’ve thrown out my script entirely and just begin the conversation as I’ve described it above. And here’s what tends to happen now:

The other day I called a lead and used exactly this approach. The conversation flowed naturally and he seemed interested in the business opportunity. My first instinct was to try to "close" him as I’d been trained to do. Instead, I remembered what you said about not putting pressure on the person as you near the end of a conversation. So I used the natural phrasing you suggested and said "Where do you think we should go from here?"

And he suggested we schedule an appointment to move things forward!

I love this approach because I can sell without being aggressive!

Also, people respond to me not as a salesperson but as a human being. I’ve had people book appointments and refer me to other prospects because they want to help me out. I’ve also found that when someone doesn’t want my products or service, I come away from the call with no rejection at all. There’s no doubt at all that my business has grown since I’ve been using your Mastery program.

Sales Mini-Lesson Take-Aways

Here are some key take-aways from Ben’s story that can help you get on the right track:

* Change your mindset from trying to "close" the appointment to "opening" the conversation.

* Throw out your linear, step-by-step sales script and create a natural opening phrase that doesn’t put pressure on the other person.

* At the end of your initial call, don’t try to "close" for the appointment. Instead, ask, "Where should we go from here?"

* Learn to think of yourself as a problem-solver rather than as someone who’s simply selling something.

* Focus on creating a two-way dialogue rather than just making your pitch.

Safe Shopping on the Internet

When it comes to shopping on the internet there a range of factors you have to consider before purchasing the product. Keep in mind that you’re buying the product without actually physically visiting a store. When you physically visit the store to make your purchase you evaluate the product according to criteria. This criterion may involve product quality, utility and of course the price you pay in relation to these very important factors. After all you buy a product to perform a certain task (which is the basic utility of the product) and you pay its price more or less in relation to the quality of the product. In other words, how efficiently that product can perform the task on hand.  When doing your shopping online it’s important that you follow these same guidelines.

Remember through the internet you can virtually do your shopping the world over. You can just about order anything from anywhere irrespective of your location. You also have the great advantage of doing your shopping anytime you want and at the comfort of your own home. No hassle of travelling to various stores or rushing through your list and thinking about what you have to cook for your next meal or that all-important presentation at office the next day. However, as when doing your shopping in the traditional physical store it’s important that you follow the basic guidelines of shopping. Perhaps more so since you don’t actually physically visit the store and have to rely on your own good judgement.  As such we are here to help you with safe shopping on the internet.

These are the “trustworthy” sites.  They keep your information secure and doesn’t re - distribute your information to any external parties.  Always avoid other site which doesn’t take you to a page which will perform” a secured transaction”. If you have doubts about a site, right-click anywhere on the page and select "Properties." This will let you see the real URL (Web site address) and the dialog box will reveal if the site is "not encrypted."

Records :- A confirmation email will be sent to you that confirm your order. Print these out and keep them safely for your own records and convenience.

Check your credit card and bank statements :- make sure to check these for your own safety. If there are any unauthorised payments contact your Credit Card Company or relevant bank and inform them immediately.

Check the online store's policies :- this will provide disclosures about the store’s refund and return policies, and about the web site’s security itself and how it uses your personal information. Make sure to take a few minutes to read them. Read the site's privacy policy to understand what personal information is being requested and how it will be used. If there isn't one posted, consider that a warning that your personal information may be sold to others without your permission.

Comparing Prices

You can compare prices too when shopping online as when you do “conventional shopping”. You can do this by visiting web sites like:

Price Runner

Do you trust the merchant? You can check the merchant’s reputation from whom you’re hoping to make your purchase by looking at their feedback by conducting web searches. You can check with the Better Business Bureau ( for a report about the merchant’s marketplace record.

And finally trust you instincts or your “gut” feelings about the web site or transaction you’re about to perform.  If you feel it’s too good to be true it probably is. Better be safe than sorry afterwards.

Happy shopping!
